Price limit

+10% from the latest settlement price. Should the traded price reach the ceiling/floor limit, trading will be halted for a certain period by TFEX. After trading resumes, the ceiling/floor limit will expand to +20% of the latest settlement price.

Pre-open: 13:45 – 14:15 hrs. Afternoon session: 14:15 – 16:55 hrs.

Speculative position limit

TFEX may announce the position limit as it deems appropriate.

Last trading day

The business day immediately preceding the last business day of the contract month. The trading of expiring contracts will cease at 16.30 hrs.

Final settlement price

Using London Gold AM Fixing price as reference price to calculate final settlement price. The calculation includes foreign exchange rate, weight, and purity conversion based on the following formula: Price per one baht of gold ( two decimal digits) = London Gold AM Fixing x (15.244/31.1035) x (0.965/0.995) x (THB/USD).


  • London Gold AM Fixing is the price per 1 troy ounce of 99.5% gold, whose weight equals 31.1035 grams.
  • 1 baht of gold equals 15.224 grams – 0.965 is the factor to convert the purity of gold to 96.5%.
  • THB/ USD is the foreign exchange rate announced by TFEX, calculated from the average of foreign exchange rates from commercial banks.
